Chris is a nationally known Catholic writer. He has advocated for social justice – most notably the abolition of the death penalty – for more than 40 years. The native Washingtonian lives in his hometown with his wife of five years, Mary-Margaret.

Published in July 2023, my first book Sisters tells the stories of my mom Ellen’s older sisters and my aunts Sisters Serena and Anna Marie Branson. Members of the Catholic religious order the Daughters of Charity, their examples informed my desire to become a gospel person, who lives simply, works for justice, promotes peace and respects lives at all stages and situations.
